The Art of Star Wars: Visions by Zack Davisson is a stunning, oversized 192 page hardcover from Dark Horse that features concept art for Star Wars: Visions on Disney+. Alongside the art, there is commentary from the creators behind the episodes that provide insight into the creative decision-making as well as additional lore about the settings. The book is broken down by short and goes in release order for all the episodes, starting with The Duel and ending with Akakiri, and is filled with designs for characters, environments, and scenes. I enjoy reading 'the art of' books because there is so much detail in both the art and commentary from the creators, and I love seeing their perspective on bringing a Star Wars story to life - to see their unique mark on Star Wars. Overall, I loved everything about this book and wouldn't change a thing other than I wish some episodes, like The Village Bride, featured more environment art.
As with most 'art of' books, there is a standard and deluxe edition of The Art of Star Wars: Visions that have different covers and with the deluxe edition you get a portfolio of prints.
The Art of Star Wars: Visions Standard and Deluxe editions hit shelves November 8.
