Picking up shortly after the events from Season of Plunder, the new trailer for Season of the Seraph shows Guardians are sent on a task to resurrect Rasputin: the Golden Age AI warmind that is an important figure in several events in the history of Destiny. Rasputin has been dormant since Season of Arrivals when the AI was disabled by a Pyramid ship as it entered the Solar system. Ana Bray managed to save a remnant of Rasputin by transferring it into an engram, and has been working to restore Rasputin throughout the Beyond Light and Witch Queen expansions.

In Season of the Seraph, Rasputin's network of weaponized satellites are close to falling into the hands of the Hive god of war Xivu Arath, and in an attempt to stop her, the Vanguard assembled a special operations team equipped with warmind weaponry-codenamed Seraphs. In accordance to this season's narrative, the new activity will be Heist Battle Grounds in which fireteams are deployed to various destinations to infiltrate Braytech facilities, bypass defense systems, and neutralize Wrathborn. Each week Guardians will work closer to gain access to a Braytech orbital platform above the Last City and race to restore Rasputin.

Along with a new armor set, universal ornaments, and warmind-themed weapons, a new exotic called the Manicore is is an SMG with an interesting perk that will allow you to hover in the air for varying periods of time depending on the amount of damage dealt with the weapon.

Moments of Triumph 2022

Season 19 will have the return of an annual series of challenges that celebrate the previous year of Destiny content, and by completing challenges, players can unlock exclusive rewards both in and out of game. There are 30 challenges to complete this year and you can find them in the 'Triumphs' tab in your inventory, then select the seal at the bottom of the screen. Note you will only have until February 28, 2023 to complete all 30 challenges.
